Conversations with What Lives Within is a series of authentic inner dialogues that emerged through my personal exploration and facilitation work. Held in conscious presence and guided by the Superconscious, these conversations reveal how a different relationship with what lives within us can open the door to greater freedom, coherence, and self-understanding.

For a long time, I thought the uncomfortable energies I experienced within me were something I needed to fight, eliminate, silence, or overcome.

Through my own work (including the MAP Method), I began discovering something different.

Sometimes, what is required isn't more effort, but a different relationship with what is already present within us.

I came to realize that many of these inner energies continue responding from old experiences rather than the present moment. They are simply expressing what they once learned in order to protect, adapt, or survive - even when those responses are no longer reflect the present.

Over time, these conversations taught me something.

What is living within me isn't always a reflection of who I truly am.

Sometimes, I think, feel, or react in ways that seem far smaller than the greater expression of who I know myself to be.

Not because something is wrong with me.

Not because I am broken.

But because certain energies within me are still responding from realities that no longer exist.

They continue carrying old conclusions, protections, and ways of relating that once made sense, even though they no longer reflect the present.

One of the greatest gifts I've discovered through my inner exploration is that these energies don't have to be fought or eliminated.

They can be acknowledged, understood, and, when they are ready, the Superconscious can contribute to reorganizing them so they become aligned with a greater expression of who we truly are.

As I continued exploring, I discovered that some of these energies had their own point of view about what was happening. Rather than trying to convince or change them, I became curious and entered into a conversation with them.

During these conversations, I also remain in communication with the Superconscious. At times, it offers a question I had not considered. At other times, it provides guidance that helps the conversation unfold in ways I could not have anticipated.

These conversations aren't directed by my mind. They unfold through a dialogue between what is present within me and the guidance I receive from the Superconscious.

Sometimes, what is asking to be released isn't the energy itself, but the reality it believes it is still living in.

The conversation that follows is one example of that process.

Édith: To the energies I'm perceiving right now... are you willing to let go of the pain?

Identity: I’m not sure… who are we going to be without the pain?

Édith: Aren't you curious to find out? You would be more of your real self.

Identity: This pain was mine. It’s the only thing I have left.

Edith: At one time, this pain was precious to you. But none of us are in that place anymore. We are somewhere different now. Would you like to join us there?

Let's speak with the pain you've been protecting and see what it wants.

Pain... are you willing to talk with us?

First of all, welcome.

Is there anything you need?

We see you now.

Pain: I was ashamed to be seen.

I didn't feel very welcome in Edith's world.

Édith: I'm sorry.

I wasn't ready - or perhaps I hadn't taken the time - to welcome you before.

You are welcome now.

Pain: I'm not sure I want that.

Édith: What would you like?

Pain: I'm not sure.

I don't know what I want.

Édith: Well, you're with us now, and I include you. Would you like me to choose for you?

Pain: I don’t know

Édith:Then I'll choose for you.

Superconscious, do I continue the conversation with the pain?

Superconscious: No.

Edith: Superconscious, do I continue to conversation with the Pain-Based Identity?

Superconscious: No.

Edith: Superconscious, do I go back to the MAP protocol?

Superconscious : Yes.

I returned to the MAP protocol.

After a few instructions were given to the Superconscious, it facilitated the reorganization of the energetic dynamics involved in this conversation.

There was no longer any charge, point of view, or conflict remaining in my nervous system in relation to the energies involved.

The energies that had prevented the session from moving forward were no longer organized around the same reality. They had become integrated into a greater expression of who I am.

They had become integrated into a greater expression of who I am.
